PARISH MISSION IS COMING SOON: From Sunday, February 10th to Wednesday, February 13th, 2008 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the church. Topics: Death, the Big Lie presented on Sunday, February 10th; Making Sense out of Suffering presented on Monday, February 11th; Healing of Painful Memories presented on Tuesday, February 12th; and Releasing your Burdens; presented on Wednesday, February 13th. Plan now to attend.

KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS CASINO NITE: Make plans to attend the annual Knights of Columbus Casino Nite on Saturday, February 2nd, in our Family Center. Tickets are $15 each, and may be purchased from any Knight, or after Mass on 1/19 and 1/27. The advance purchase of a ticket entitles the purchaser to $15,000 of chips, plus a chance to win the door prize of a trip for 2 to Las Vegas. Games available to play will be blackjack, craps, roulette, and poker. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase throughout the evening. Babysitting will be available. Doors will open at 6:00p.m. and the games will begin at 7:00p.m. This is always one of the most fun social events in the parish each year, so plan to attend now.

Catholic Daughters will have a Pre-Super Bowl Bake Sale on January 26-27. Come by after all the Masses to get some delicious homemade goodies.

MEN'S CLUB OF ST. IGNATIUS are taking orders for "SUPER BOWL" BRISKETS. Please contact Steve Palmer #565-0361, Charlie Darilek #442-7940 or Eddie Cantu #442-4094. Pre-orders are $35.00 and late comers will be $40.00, while the supply lasts.

LADIES CLUB: The Ladies will meet at Marie Callendar's Restaurant located at 5601 Brodie Lane on Tuesday, January 22nd at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of food, fun, and relaxation. At that time our secret Pals will reveal themselves to their unsuspecting friends! Reservations are required so call Janell at 442-0343 by Monday noon. The more the merrier so bring a friend or two.

The St. Ignatius LifeTeen Youth Praise Band will be hosting a concert benefiting Mike Garza and his family. It will be on Saturday, January 26, in the Family Center. Doors open to the sounds of Grace Pettis at 6p.m., Dave Thies at 7p.m., raffle at 8p.m. and Praise and Worship from 8:30 - 10p.m. Tickets are a suggested donation price of $5 each, T-Shirts are $10 and the Fajita dinner plate is $5 at the door. Tickets will be on sale at the Youth Office at St. Ignatius on Thursday and Friday from 4-7p.m. or e-mail to reserve: mrykaboom@gmail.com.

The Annual Diocesan Pro-Life Vigil Mass, statewide March and Rally for Life on Saturday, January 26th. At 7 a.m. in the parking lot of San José Church the faithful will gather and go by car caravan to Planned Parenthood at 201 East Ben White Blvd in South Austin where the rosary will be prayed. After the Prayer Vigil, cars will return to San José in time to participate in the Rosary for Life at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. For more information on the Prayer Vigil contact Bob Christiansen at 512-255-8551.

WELCOME COFFEE: We will have a complimentary Welcome Coffee in the Family Center after all the morning Masses on Sunday, January 27th. See you there. Hosted by the St. Ignatius, Martyr, School Board and sponsored by Pastoral Council.
