Year of the Word presentations: Catholicism is based on Scripture, yet many Catholics know very little about the Bible. To help Catholics learn more about sacred Scripture, Bishop Gregory Aymond will present "The Word Dwells Among Us" at St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic Church on October 17th and 18th the celebration of the Year of the Word. The first date is the bishop's presentation and the second is the evening of reflection offered by Patricia Stankus and Cheryl Maxwell. All presentations begin at 7 p.m. Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available.

Learn, Grow and Serve by Becoming a Stephen Minister. Do you have gifts for caring, encouragement, and listening? If so, prayerfully consider becoming a Stephen Minister. Stephen Ministers provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are going through a difficult time, such as divorce, grief, unemployment, terminal illness, or loneliness. South Austin Young Adult Catholics
Young Adults, you are invited to join us on Sundays when we go out to eat after the 5p.m. Mass. Look for us after Mass in the foyer. We also have a group that meets for Scripture Study on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at San José Parish. We meet at 7p.m. in Building 3F. Thirdly, join us on the 1st Thursday of each month for our planning meeting; we meet in the Patio Room at 7p.m.
