Reconciliation
Healing Sacraments: Reconciliation
Guidelines for Celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation
While preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation begins in first and second grade, normally instruction and immediate preparation for the Sacrament takes place in Fourth Grade where the curriculum covers the Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Grade 5 and Above (older youth)
Students in Grade 5 and above who want to prepare for and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation follow a home study program designed to help youth come to an understanding of sin, of individuals as sinners, and of the conditions requisite for serious sin. The catechesis itself emphasizes God's mercy and loving forgiveness. It also stresses that faith, a gift of God, is an ongoing call to conversion from sin.
Ordinarily, older youth preparing to celebrate Reconciliation are also involved in another regular program in the parish which helps them grow in faith, and be involved in the parish community.

The names of those to be remembered will be published Easter Sunday. Memorials must be received no later than Monday, March 17th.
Have you attended one of the Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Dinners yet? There are only two of them left. Remember that both fried fish and baked fish is available. Also, the $7.00 cost of a regular dinner ($6.00 for seniors and children) includes both a drink, and a dessert prepared by our own Catholic Daughters or Ladies' Club. The remaining dinners are from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Family Center on March 7th and March 14th. Bring a friend!!!
