Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Invites children ages 4 and above to hear the Sunday readings and a homily designed especially for them during the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses every Sunday. The children then rejoin their families during the offertory to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist together. Lectors and homilists are needed to provide the Gospel reading and message for the children. Other adults are also needed to simply observe and maintain order.

Requirements: A love for God; a love for children; willingness to learn more about your faith and share it with kids; complete the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity Workshop; and agree to a criminal background check.
Training: On-going training, mentoring and support are provided.
