Are you passionate about promoting religious vocations in the Church? Have you yourself considered a vocation to the priesthood, the religious life (as a priest, brother, or sister), or the permanent diaconate? The Vocations Ministry seeks to promote religious vocations in our parish and the universal Church, and aids and supports individuals in their quest to follow Christ in this explicit way. Please contact us to join this ministry.
Our Vocations Ministry wishes to invite families or individuals who wish to pray for vocations on a monthly basis to sign up for our Traveling Vocations Cross.
Those who sign-up are asked to sign-up for the Mass of their choice and to attend that Mass time in-person this weekend to receive the cross. Crosses will be exchanged each month for those who wish to participate. Thank you for praying for vocations!
“Our thoughts are not easily God’s thoughts, nor our wills His will. But as we listen to Him and converse with Him, our minds will be given to understand Him and His designs. The more we come through prayer to relish what is right, the better we shall work in our mission for the realization of the kingdom.” — Constitutions of the Congregation of Holy Cross, 3:21
Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord's call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes. Please continue to pray for the following members of our parish who are currently in religious formation:
Steve Jakubowski, CSC, who professed Final Vows and was ordained a priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross in April 2024.
Ken Bambrick, who is currently in discernment to become a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Austin.
Holy Mother of God, Encourage all who seek to follow Jesus as Priests, Brothers, and Sisters. Reveal the joy and beauty of following Christ in his intimacy with the Father. Inspire them to witness Christ's love. May their consecration inspire us. May they respond generously to the Lord's call. May they always recall your words spoken at Cana, 'Do whatever he tells you.' Amen.
Amen.
